Mark the external footprint on the floor rather than only the 180 × 200 mattress area. Open wardrobe and room doors, allow for a headboard and walk along the side from which the lid will be lifted. That exposes conflicts a front-facing photo cannot show.
Then picture emptying the compartment: can the lid remain safely raised while you organise it, and can you reach the back without leaning on the mechanism? Storage only earns its space when opening, arranging and checking for moisture remain practical.
